St Andrews Links, Strathtyrum Course
Key Information
The Strathtyrum, opened in 1993, designed by Donald Steele in 2 loops of nine holes, complements the tougher, championship layouts at the Home of Golf
At a little over 5,500 yards and just 15 bunkers, there are less hazards facing the golfer and the wide, open flat layout makes it the perfect practice course with opportunities to work on your short game.
The Strathtyrum plays host to a number of amateur and junior events each year and is played every day by families and golfers of all ages and abilities.
Ideal for beginners, high handicappers and children or a chance to relax before or after playing its more challenging neighbours – the Old, New & Jubilee courses.
